Meet Christine Matthews, Founder & Coach

I’m Christine Matthews, a licensed therapist, consultant, and business coach who understands what it takes to build and scale a successful outpatient mental-health practice.

After years in the field, I saw too many therapists carrying the weight of both clinical care and business management—burning out while trying to serve their clients well. My own journey taught me that growth is possible when we lead with vision, faith, and strategy.

I founded NJA Business to help therapists like you build profitable, mission-driven practices that expand access to care and create lasting community impact.

Guided by faith and a commitment to excellence, my mission is to walk alongside you—equipping you with the tools, systems, and leadership mindset you need to thrive as a business owner and leader.

I’ve Been Where You Are.

Solo → Maxed Out → Thriving Group Practice

I started out just like you — a solo therapist, juggling paperwork, overbooked, and wondering if there was more. When I realized my income and impact had hit the ceiling, I took the leap to build a group practice. It wasn’t easy, but now my team serves more clients, I have more freedom, and I enjoy running my business. That’s what I want for you too.

A few years ago, I had the privilege of consulting with Christine Matthews during a confusing time in my social work career. I was seeking guidance on navigating the clinical world while honoring the cultural complexities and challenges inherent in our profession.

Christine's approach was authentic and transformative. She helped me develop a more secure sense of self within the clinical world, expanding how I understood my own gifts, talents, and the diverse communities I was called to serve. What distinguished her guidance was her unwavering attention to cultural practices as a hallmark of clinical excellence-not as an afterthought, but as central to therapeutic integrity.

Her insights were both practically grounded and theoretically sophisticated, reflecting her deep understanding of how social workers can carve out meaningful niches while maintaining fidelity to our profession's core values.
